The option has recently been added to Tesla’s online store in China. You can choose between a traditional steering wheel or the contentious yoke during the ordering process.
The official pricing for the Model X and Model S Plaid in the country and the availability of the standard steering wheel were both announced simultaneously by the company.
Since neither option is more expensive, it comes down to personal preference. However, the traditional steering wheel appears to delay delivery until March 2023—not too long, but something to think about.
The steering yoke was already sold on many of these vehicles, and Tesla now offers an upgrade option for them. Through Tesla Service, it will set you back $700.00, which includes installation.
