Battery swiping system: India is now finally on the way

Nowadays India also become a well-developed country in the case of cars and motorbikes but still, there are few things that are needed to run such electric things in India.

As we can see how many companies in India are used to producing electric vehicles. Not even this the growth of the technology in cars is increasing day by day. But actually, to continue these electric cars we don’t have that many facilities. for intense if we want to buy an electric car that will be completely based on the battery system so in that case, we want to so go out of the city with our electric car and suddenly we urgently need to charge the battery of the car, in that case, there are actually very shortage of the charging points in India. So today’s article is completely based on the battery swiping system.

Meaning of battery swiping system:

Basically, the battery swiping system refers to the process in which you can exchange an empty battery with a fully charged battery. this process was first discovered in china and when they found it useful and helpful in the time of emergency so at that time the government make a policy to allow extra batteries in the EV. So that whenever you need to charge the batteries but there is 0 availability of charging your vehicles, so in that case, you can change your battery with a fully charged battery.

Battery swiping system in India:

In a country like India where it’s very hard to fix the footpath of the EV. At this point, there are also very hard to find out the hub of charging points for EVs. So in that case India is used to being inspired by china, and likewise china government, the Indian government also allows a policy in which the EV manufacturing company now also provide the extra battery system. It’s also scouting sites along India’s emission-heavy highways for new stations for swapping and charging. According to the reports, there is a technology platform called Sheru that allows electric autorickshaw drivers to swap their batteries at the shop of retail stores. Not even this they will also pay the amount of money that much they use the quantity of service of charge their EV.

Funding for EV batteries:

In Mumbai, their foundation called Tiger Global has just raised $ 25 million in funding, focused on quickly building a swapping network, and is working with domestic battery manufacturers. Sun Mobility is partnering with Maharashtra and is finding warehouses of charging points for EV batteries.

For now, India is working on the dual battery system in two or three-wheelers but they are also trying to allow the dual battery system in 4 wheelers also. According to me, this will take so much time to get achieve their goal to cover all vehicles with the dual battery system but this step is already on fire in production spacially in two-wheelers. Recently there are two bikes were launched last month called Ultraviolette F77 and Hero electrics which are launched with a swappable battery system.

Companies launching their EV with a swipeable battery:

Well, globally there are few companies that are launching their EVs with swipeable battery systems such as,

1. Tesla Inc. has tried battery swapping. But Musk’s company abandoned the project after setting up just one battery station.
2. Renault-Nissan has also adopted the swipeable battery system in their 10,000 upcoming EVs.
3. Defunct venture capital is now also trying to find a way to develop the swipeable battery system in their EVs.

The reason why battery systems of EVs are promoted:

As we all know that how much transport is a must in today’s time so that’s why the ratio of pollution was increased and global warming is also at its peak that is why the government decided to find a way so that the pollution could reduce, especially air pollution. So the transport manufacturing company tries to invent EVs in order to reduce the use of diesel and petrol. Which will help to reduce pollution and global warming as well. After getting success in the EVs the main problem arose with charging the battery. Because the project of EVs was new in the market so there was a shortage of charging points at different places. So to get rid of this big problem now the government is making an policy in which the companies will allow the swipeable battery system in the EVs.

OPINION:

so today’s shootout was that India is now also in the race of the countries that are trying to make the policies that could allow the swipeable battery system in EVs. If they fail to adopt this function so I think India could lose a prime opportunity to go electric and get cleaner.
