Nissan may have ongoing production problems with the Ariya, yet they haven’t stopped it from releasing fresh iterations of the EV. As an illustration, there are currently three new trims available in Europe, including the Ariya Evolve+ e-4ORCE, the highest model, which generates 290 kW of power (389 hp). This was already available in the States, and it has now reached the UK.
Battery, Range & Power Output
According to the WLTP combined cycle, the 87 kWh usable capacity battery may provide a range of up to 498 kilometres (309 miles). The automobile accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.1 seconds thanks to the 600 Nm of torque provided by the electric motors. There is a 200 km/h (125 mph) top speed restriction, and a 1,500 kg towing capacity (3,306 lbs).
The new entrant model, the Ariya Engage 2WD, is equipped with a choice of 63 kWh or 87 kWh workable capacity batteries, and is at the other end of the price spectrum. With the earlier, the electric motor produces 300 Nm of torque and 160 kW of power, has an acceleration time of 7.5 seconds, and has a WLTP range of 404 km (251 miles).
The larger battery provides 178 kW (238 horsepower), a similar 300 Nm peak torque, a 7.6-second0–100 km/h acceleration time, ranging up to 536 kilometres (333 miles) WLTP.
Both of these variants have a top speed of 160 km/h (100 mph) and a towing capacity of 750 kilogrammes (1,653 lbs).
The Engage specification includes 19-inch alloy wheels with aero covers, heated mirrors with automated folding capabilities, LED front and rear fog lamps, high-beam assist LED headlamps, dual 12-inch TFT screens, electric “one-touch” windows, and configurable drive modes.
The Evolve+ trim includes a head-up display, an intelligent rearview mirror, a panoramic retractable sunroof, a power steering column and centre console, a DAB radio, temperature-controlled front seats, 20-inch alloy wheels with aero covers, and Nappa Blue leather seat trim.
A guarantee of eight years or 160,000 miles is included with every Ariya sold in Europe. On April 3, purchase books for the 3 new trims go on sale.
