Tata to Promote EVs in IPL 2023
After six years of partnership with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Tata Motors has declared that the Tiago EV will be the official representative of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). The 15th IPL edition will begin on March 31, 2023. Tata’s commitment to the Indian EV sector is evident from this step.
Via this platform, the company hopes to increase public awareness of electric vehicles (EVs). Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said: “Our partnership with India’s largest media property will help us showcase the relevance of EVs, not only in urban India, but in smaller areas as well. ” We want to make the most from this partnership and quicken this change to the transportation of the future by promoting the fast uptake of EVs in India.”
In addition, Tata is giving the honours to players with the best strike rate each game, which will be presented during this year’s IPL games. Each match’s victor will also earn a piece of silverware and a monetary prize of Rs. 1 lakh. Meanwhile, the season’s topmost striker will get the chance to win a new EV.
Tata Motors will donate Rs 5 lakh as part of its IPL commitment to help increase the bio – diversity of coffee crops in Karnataka by planting a tree each time the display car is hit by the ball. Furthermore, Tata will present certain game match tickets to chosen Tata EV customers. Since 2018, Tata Motors has been a sponsor of the IPL and has featured a number of their popular cars.
