Now Make Your Two-Wheeler a Hybrid (Petrol Plus Electric) Vehicle

Bangalore-based firm, the first in the world to make it possible for two-wheelers to operate in both gasoline and electric modes is Green Tiger Mobility (Dual Powertrain). It has been given the go-ahead to convert all popular scooter models up to 125cc by ARAI and RTO. Existing scooters (and motorbikes) can be converted by Green Tiger into Dual Powertrain vehicles. The modified cars are equipped with both an electric kit and a (existing) ICE powertrain. The rider has a choice of two modes: electric and gasoline. The electric version has a max speed of 60kmph and a runtime of up to 60 km. So, you can finally convert a two-wheeler to one with a dual powertrain.

Easy Switch by Green Tiger Hybrid Scooters

The ICE and Electric engines are independent of one another in the vehicles converted by Green Tiger, which sets them apart from normal Dual Powertrain 2-wheelers. The rider can quickly switch between each mode and continue travelling if the vehicle stops functioning while operating in one of the modes.

Twin Mode

For those who ride frequently every day, the dual-mode feature is really helpful. Range anxiety, a problem with electric vehicles, is eliminated by driving in electric mode with gasoline as a backup.

The Electric Equipment

The electric system inside is made up of a number of parts, as can be seen in the figure below. The main parts are a detachable battery which can be recharged at home, an IP67-rated hub motor that is dust- and water-resistant, and a VCU device with IoT and Sim that makes the automobile secure and intelligent.

Present Plan

The organization is presently converting seven popular scooter brands, including Suzuki Access, Hero Maestro, TVS Wego, and Jupiter models that were registered in 2012 or later. The testing phase of the motorcycle modification will begin later this year.

Total cost

The cost of the electric kit, the battery, and the full conversion process are included in the price of the Dual Powertrain conversion, which is Rs 65,000 plus tax. The rider might save up to Rs 65,000 annually on gas expenses.

Other Qualities

With a mobile app, the converted vehicle may be tracked and managed remotely in both modes. Theft-protection, which locks the automobile and sets out an alarm in the event of a theft, and Fall Alert, which notifies emergency contacts as in case of an accident, are only two examples of smart benefits.

Bengaluru and Karnataka are where Green Tiger has started its vehicle conversion business; it will eventually spread to the rest of India. If you’re interested in vehicle conversion, you can either fill out this enquiry form or visit GT’s experience centre in JP Nagar, Bangalore.
