The company’s flagship LiveWire ONE electric motorcycle is now accessible throughout Europe, according to LiveWire, the electric motorcycle startup that Harley-Davidson spun out.
The LiveWire ONE is the electric motorcycle that replaces the Harley-Davidson LiveWire. That bike was initially offered in Europe a few years ago, but until the LiveWire One arrived on the scene, there was an electron-powered H-D gap in Europe due to the company’s electric shakeup.
Compared to the original H-D LiveWire, which came in at just under US $30K, the high-performance electric motorcycle was introduced for a much more appealing price of about US $23K.
The LiveWire ONE is manufactured by Harley-Davidson in York, Pennsylvania, and both the US and European models are firmly positioned in the premium motorcycle market.
Prices All Across Europe
You may find the country-specific prices (including VAT) below:
Europe: 24,990 euros
France: 25 290 euros
Netherlands: 25 390 euros
UK: £22,990
Reservations for the LiveWire ONE for €100 are currently available, guaranteeing priority delivery that will likely begin later in April.
City/Highway Travel Range
The bike doesn’t have a very great range, at least when travelling on the highway. Yet, it makes an excellent intermediate bike that can manage both local commuting and highway sprints thanks to its 140 miles (225 km) of city range and 90 miles (145 km) of combined city/highway range.
And after 140 kilometres, you don’t really have to put your riding boots away. Riders can immediately re-enter the road thanks to the LiveWire ONE’s integration of DC fast charging, which allows for a virtually full battery in around 30 minutes. That’s particularly helpful for anyone without access to a garage or residential charging system, which is a common issue for city inhabitants in many of Europe’s busy urban centres. A 30-minute pause to eat something or take a break is also not horrible for longer rides and tours. Some riders have even pushed the LiveWire One by achieving 1000 miles in a single day.
For those who have access to a power outlet at home, a Level 1 wall charger can be used to charge completely overnight and tucks away beneath the saddle.
The Crown Jewel in Harley’s line-up
The LiveWire S2 Del Mar will shortly join the LiveWire ONE as the sole model offered by the company.
The ONE is considered to be the crown jewel of the company, demonstrating its engineering brilliance. The S2 Del Mar prioritises price and mass-market appeal over performance and acceleration, which it shares with the ONE.
Del Mar’s Launch Edition bikes have already been sold out, and regular production bikes are anticipated to sell for closer to US $17k, or around 25% less than the LiveWire ONE.
When will the Del Mar be accessible in Europe? That is still unknown. Nevertheless, to be fair, since the production was deferred earlier this year, it’s unclear when they’ll be accessible in the US. It appears likely that the first Launch Edition shipments will begin in Q2 or Q3 of 2023.
