For the Model S and Model X, Tesla recently debuted the Ultra Red paint hue. The new red is a little bit darker than the red paint Tesla used to sell, but it seems to fit the style of the Model S and Model X better.
In the US, the price of Tesla’s Ultra Red paint is an additional $3,000; in China, it is RMB25,000. “Flame Red” is the name of the paint choice in China. Only the Model S and Model X can be ordered in Ultra Red. Red Multi-Coat for the Model 3 and Model Y is an extra $2,000 option.
Tesla now has two distinctive red hues thanks to the inclusion of Ultra Red. The main Tesla factory where the Model S and Model X cars are put together, the Fremont Factory, now has Ultra Red paint. In addition, Midnight Cherry Red is anticipated from Giga Berlin’s cutting-edge paint studio. The Tesla Investor Day featured Quicksilver and the red paint colour of Giga Berlin.
