Chevy Blazer EV Spotted in Plain Sight: Even while some of General Motors’ forthcoming EVs, such as the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV, have already been formally unveiled, it’s still amazing to witness them in the wild. Also, even after a new automobile has been publicly unveiled, the automaker will occasionally exercise prudence by concealing portions of it in public, but that is not the case here.
A 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV was discovered charging in plain sight at a public DC Fast Charging station, according to an Electrek report, and it was neither hidden nor covered in any way. The article adds that this might be the first time the forthcoming electric SUV has been spotted and captured in action while charging in the open without camouflage.
There are numerous photographs, and not all of them are of the Blazer EV, as you can see from the embedded Reddit thread below.
The Chevy EV Lineup
The Blazer EV will be one of the first in an expanding lineup of GM electric vehicles for the general public when it is formally introduced by GM later in 2023. The Blazer EV will have a starting price of about $45,000 and be constructed on the automaker’s specially designed Ultium platform.
In addition, Chevrolet intends to release a more reasonably priced electric SUV to bridge the gap between the present Bolt EUV and the future Blazer EV. Its name will be the Chevrolet Equinox EV, keeping with the naming scheme. The MSRP will be close to $30,000. Chevrolet is also releasing a fully electric Silverado EV, which just so happened to be at the same charging station as the Blazer EV.
For some reason, the Silverado EV is not visible in a more direct shot, but you can still see it out in white, parked close behind the Ford Mustang Mach-E. Skidoor 14, the Reddit user who took the pictures, actually mentioned three “new to him” electric vehicles that he saw and took pictures of over the weekend. He revealed:
“I observed several new and upcoming EVs over the weekend, including the Chevy Silverado EV, Nissan Ariya, and Blazer.”
The third was the brand-new Nissan Ariya SUV, which replaced the venerable Leaf as Nissan’s second totally electric vehicle available in the United States.
