Tesla’s chief car designer, Franz von Holzhausen, told Teslarati in a podcast that the Tesla Cybertruck has been finalized and will soon be produced three years after CEO Elon Musk made the announcement.
The Tesla Cybertruck was first introduced in 2019, but its release has been postponed numerous times due to supply chain issues and the epidemic.
Tesla is continuing to refine the design as it prepares for early production in mid-2023, despite Musk’s repeated claims that the design is finished. By the end of this year, the series will be made.
McCaffrey also said that production will start in less than six months. Tesla’s chief designer also said that there are things that will make the first stage of manufacturing difficult.
Tesla has made significant progress in the production of Cybertrucks over the past few months, including the delivery of IDRA Giga Press machines to the Texas Gigafactory. The 9,000-ton Giga press from IDRA, which may have arrived at the Texas plant earlier this month, will be used by Tesla to produce the Cybertruck.
