I think these days Tesla is grabbing everyone’s attention not because they are famous but to getting the Tesla issues news every day. A piece of fresh news related to a Tesla owner called Zelaya. Zelaya is the owner of the Tesla Model S and he bought the car for $140,000 CAD. According to the owner he received the car with a design issue which has now led to the problem. Not even this he also mentioned that the HAVS (Heating, Ventilation, Air Condition) Condensor drops water on the battery pack over the year which becomes the reason destroy of the battery. He said that the water has completely rusted the external cover of the battery pack and moisture had now entered the battery
But the matter is starting when Tesla refused to fix the issue due to the warranty of the vehicle had expired. The company claimed that problems were discovered after the expired warranty. Only battery problems were not in the car but the door lock problems were also there. Zelaya mentioned that he was locked out of the car and tries harder to get in but he failed. the automakers still do not agree to fix the issue because they still think that the battery pack is damaged because of the way, it was designed. The problem of water dripping onto the battery pack would have started when it was under warranty.
After such rude denay from the automakers, Zelaya decided to investigate the car and he contacted Transport Canada. The owner even claims that Tesla has shut down his car over the air after his video of refusing to pay for a new battery has gone viral. Well, here we must say that this is not the first time and Mario Zelaya is not the only person who faced this issue. After this incident, he tried to come in touch with another person who faced the same problems but Tesla didn’t take any action yet.
This is still not clear that Dis Tesla is planning to take any action for the 2013-2014 Tesla Model S car. As of now, there are no investigations underway for this issue in the US. Transport Canada offers a service where consumers are invited to contact the regulator through the website, where they can fill out a defect complaint form.
People have utilized this service in the past and this has led to a defect notice on Kia Soul. Consumers of Kia Should were facing an issue where the heated seats were actually burning the occupants in the car. There have been many incidents in the past where the autopilot feature in the car stopped responding. Tesla has even fired one of their employees in the past who posted a video of a Full Self-Driving Beta (FSD) fail online. John Bernal was a member of a data-annotation team of Tesla’s autopilot system.
The main thing is that after ending the warranty period Tesla will not allow repairing the battery and even if you want to change the battery so you have to pay $1.5 Million.
